So sorry, with work, health, and stress I have fallen a little behind on things lately, including blogging. That is why I am a little late getting my Bob's Burgers Cookbook burger review! Last week the husband and I made the Poutine on the Ritz Burger. It was made with brown gravy, cheese curds, and topped with Ritz crackers. First off I will have to say I'm not a huge fan of gravy, especially not on my burger. And for this dish I will say that it seemed to make everything kind of soggy. This was certainly not our favorite burger so far, sadly it is towards the bottom of the burgers we have cooked. Still, it was not too bad. My husband gave it a .75 thumbs up. I give it about a .60 thumbs up.

Yep, it's already time for another Bob's Burgers Cookbook burger review! This one was called the Bruschetta About It Burger! A yummy bruschetta mixture of basil, tomatoes, garlic, olive oil, and balsamic reduction on top of a mozzarella cheese burger served on French bread! Pretty darn yummy, though a bit too bready. I think that next time I mix this I will use buns, something smaller and will allow the burger and bruschetta to shine. Still, it got two thumbs up from both the husband and I! Still not a bad burger in the book yet! <a> This past weekend the hubby and I continued to cook our way through the Bob's Burgers Cookbook, this time with the Final Kraut Down Burger. This burger had Swiss cheese, caramelized onions mixed with sauerkraut, and topped with mustard. Pretty yummy as long as you like sauerkraut which we do! Not our favorite since some of the previous ones are hard to top, but still two thumbs up from both my husband and myself!
Per usual, this past weekend my hubby and I made another burger from the Bob's Burgers cookbook. This time we made the If Looks Could Kale Burger with an orzo salad. Gruyere cheese with crispy baked kale on this burger and let me say, it's delicious! So yummy and one of our favorites so far! And having a light pasta salad with it was a refreshing change too. Two thumbs up for both the husband and I!
Another week, another blog about the latest burger from the Bob's Burgers Cookbook. Here is the 7th burger that the hubby and I cooked this weekend. It is the It's Fun to Stay at the Rye-MCA burger! A burger with cheddar cheese, sauteed onions, brown mustard, horseradish, lettuce, and served on rye bread. Got some spiciness to it and is pretty yummy. Next time I need to cut the bread to size though, but hey I was starving when I got off work and I just wanted to eat my burger! This one got two thumbs up from both the hubby and I!
Over the weekend we cooked our 6th burger from the Bob's Burgers Cookbook, the Do the Brussel Burger! This burger was topped with bacon and a mixture of brussel sprouts and pistachios. While still tasty, not one of the favorites of my husband or I. I don't know, it seemed like we were eating a side dish on top of our burger. Still it gets two .75 thumbs up because it pretty good. We have not had a bad burger from this cookbook yet!
Another week, another burger from the Bob's Burgers Cookbook! This is the Poblano Picasso Burger. Poblano peppers, onion, tomatillas, jalapeno mix on top of a burger with Monterrey jack cheese. A bit messy to assemble and eat, but pretty darn delicious! This burger got two thumbs up from both my husband and I! One of our faves so far!
The hubby and I are still cooking our way through the Bob's Burgers Burger Cookbook. This week we cooked the Totally Radish Burger. We were both a little worried about this burger. It called for creme fresh (which I don't like), radishes (which the hubby doesn't like), dill, and cucumbers. I did doctor it up a little with natural sweetner and lemon juice, deviating from the recipe a little, but the end result was pretty yummy! This burger gets 1.75 thumbs up! Small deduction because I had to add a little to the recipe to make both me and the hubby happy.
As my husband and I continue to cook our way through the Bob's Burgers Cookbook, we just made the A Good Manchego is Hard to Find Burger this weekend. It required manchego cheese, fig jam, and caramelized shallots. I thought that it was pretty darn tasty, but my husband thought that the shallots combined with the fig jam made the burger a little too sweet. So this burger gets 1.75 thumbs up! And as a side note, the cheese and fig jam were a bit more expensive than other ingredients so far, which makes me understand why Bob is always short on rent. He only charges 5.95 for these burgers and the manchego cheese for two burgers was $8. Just saying. But it sure tasted good and of course for us is cheaper and more fun than eating out.
Last night I cooked the second burger from the Bob's Burgers Burger Book, the Eggers Can't Be Cheesers Burger! This was a departure from usual burgers I normally cook. Eggs on top of my cheese burger and served on English muffins. At first I was skeptical about the English muffins, but all I have to say is that for the second time Bob's Burgers did not let me down! Yum! Another two thumbs up from the husband and I! Looking forward to eating more interesting burgers as the weeks go on.
