The past few months I have been dealing with some pretty bad anxiety issues. It is the worst when I am out and about trying to be social. Social anxiety is nothing to laugh at, even though sometimes out in public people do make fun of it. So I have really been trying to work on myself and my anxiety lately. How you might ask? Well through exercise, making yoga a priority, making time for art, making time for myself by reading and relaxing, and by keeping busy. Is it working? Maybe. I am a work in progress, as we all are. Do I feel like I am better? A little. But am I still struggling? Yes. I hope that with more time spent on myself, by taking better care of myself physically and mentally, that some of my anxiety will start to lessen. Hopefully that will in turn help me with my writing, which has been waning slightly waning of late. I just wanted to write this post to keep people up to date, let you all know why some writing news has been delayed, and to let everyone know that there is no need to be ashamed of having anxiety or any other mental health issue.

Looking for some good paranormal audio books to listen to now that the days are growing shorter? I have a couple reviews of books that you might want to check out. What if you were a supernatural creature but didn't know it? That is the premise of Demons and Wraiths, an excellent paranormal thriller that is packed with mystery and action. This is a fast paced story with excellent narration that leaves you wanting more. I hope that there are more books in this series very soon. 5/5 stars! Link: https://www.amazon.com/Demons-and-Wraiths/dp/B07TYK8SCL/ This is a great paranormal historical fantasy, packed with action and heart. I love the strong female protagonist of this story, a woman with magic, but it's more the power of her mind and her love of those close to her that make her so powerful. This is such a great fantasy story that I just want to read more of. 5/5 stars! Link: https://www.amazon.com/Fight-Sorceress-Rise-Kelpies-Book/dp/B07QPVCBMJ/ I am excited to finally be creating art again! Right now I am gearing up for an art market that I am participating in next month right before Halloween, which of course means a lot of Halloween art! Here is a little zombie mermaid watercolor that I just did. I think she is fun and perfect for the season. It's been awhile since I have been painting and it feels really good to be back at it! She is for sale, only $10! Looking for a new series to sink your teeth into? Love sexy and naughty Greek gods? Then check out my Gods Behaving Badly series. More Books to come next year. Gods Behehaving Badly Series (6 book series) From Book 1: Sophia longs for the days when she was worshiped as a goddess and celebrated for her glory. Now she hides in plain sight and does what she must to keep the lifestyle she is accustomed. She has never been close to discovery until one New York City Detective, Bruce Stoker, enters the picture. Now all that she is and has done could come out into the open and destroy everything. She should disappear, but there is something different about this man that draws her to him. *** Detective Bruce Stoker has never had an unsolved case, but there is something different about these art heists. Money is taken, but art is given to museums. Strange. If he can find the beautiful woman who seems to be the common link, then everything should be simple. That is what he thought at least until he met the gorgeous suspect in question. We all need dreams and the will to strive after them, that is really all that ambition is, so why does being ambitious have negative connotations sometimes? I have goals in life and I am doing all that I can to achieve them. I think that is healthy to take steps to better your life, yet often I have to be crazy for chasing after my dreams. Sure, I have a lot of hard work ahead of me but what is life without some challenges right?
Right now I am focusing on studying for my personal trainer certification test and of course on my writing career. This means after my day job I have lots of work to do, but that is what I have to do to achieve my dreams and I think that it is well worth it. What are your dreams and ambitions are you chasing right now? Why do you think so many people think that ambition is a bad thing? What is your response to people who tell you that your dreams are crazy? Sound off in the comments. Fall is here and hopefully that means some more time for reading. I am busy working on edits for the second book in the Port Stone series and will have it out for you all later this fall! Have you picked up the first book, Port Stone: Dangers of the Swamp? It's a fun fantasy series with a couple kick ass female warriors at the forefront of the story. Link: mybook.to/PortStoneDangersSwamp Tianna and Kara each came to Port Stone by request of their respective Orders to help an unknown elf, Phinelope. She never shows at the appointed meeting place, so they go in search of her only to find Phinelope murdered and more secrets than answers in this strange town. Never ones to let the murder of a woman go with no consequences, they take it upon themselves to avenge her death and find themselves becoming more involved in the mysteries of Port Stone than either of them ever intended. Join Tianna and Kara in this female led fantasy of danger, lies, and unanswered questions. Hey fellow authors, I have a little proposition for you all! And not a dirty one. LOL
I am starting up a new YouTube channel called Two Authors Drinking and I would love to have any authors that I know come on and chat with me. This will be part interview, part just hanging out and chatting about books and writing and the life of an author. And we will be drinking during the filming, not necessarily alcohol though. We can have coffee, tea, water, whatever. This is mainly because I need fluids to keep talking. lol Of course it would be great if we could meet up and film in person, but since most of the authors that I know live far away, I am also going to be recording some Skype chats. Interested in being a gift? Hit me up here or anywhere on my social media and we can work something out! I am so excited to start this channel and look forward to chatting with many of you. Summer is gone for all intensive purposes (now if only the hot temperatures would go away). Fall is upon us and for me that means getting back on track with well, everything. Things got a little off track over summer, especially with some family visiting. Then I had some health issues which made me fall even farther behind, but things are starting to settle down and I am getting back on track.
First I am of course working on catching up with writing. First round of edits for the next installment of Port Stone are complete and I am waiting for round two to come in at any moment and I hope to have a release date for you very soon! I also plan on having my Christmas novella off to my editor by the end of this week, which means that I better get writing! I am also branching out and trying something totally new that I will talk about soon. I am also trying to get back into the swing of things when it comes to exercise. Right now I am back to walking/running two miles 5 days a week and I am trying to get back into doing yoga almost every day. As the weather cools down, I might up my exercise a bit more. I am also starting to learn more about exercise as I am just starting my studying to become a certified personal trainer so I am excited to add things that I learn to my routine. I am also getting back into doing some art. I have a art market in October that I am doing, so I am working on a lot of Halloween themed art this month and next! I am pretty excited to start making art again, it's been a minute for sure. And of course I need to get back to organizing my house. I started "Tidying Up" but got interrupted and now it's time to finish getting my home in order. So let's here it for a productive Fall. What do you all have planned for Fall and Winter?
