It’s been a bit since I posted a Bobs Burgers burger review, but I’m back and it should be a regular occurrence once more! Last week the hubby and I made the Sympathy for the Deviled Egg Burger, which is basically egg salad on top of a burger! What’s not to love? Tons of protein and yumminess! This one got two thumbs up from both myself and the hubby!
It's been a bit since I had a Bob's Burgers Cookbook post, but I am back and with a yummy burger! May I present the Is This Your Chard? Burger. It has sauteed onions, Swiss chard, and chevre cheese on a french roll. Yum! I made the rest of the Swiss chard as a side dish and tried to make this meal a bit healthier. Pretty darn tasty and it gets two thumbs up! Still not the favorite, but one I would make again.
Time for another burger review from the Bob's Burgers Cookbook! This past weekend the hubby and I made the Chile Relleno-You -Didn't Burger. Basically a burger topped with a cheese filled poblano pepper, fried in an egg batter. It was delicious and much easier to make than I originally expected. My only complaint is that I think it needed some sort of sauce and I will figure out one to put on it the next time that I make it and I will be making it again. It gets two thumbs up from both the hubby and myself! This one ranks right up there at the top!
The husband and I are still having fun cooking our way through the Bob's Burgers Cookbook! This past week we cooked the 50 Ways to Leave Your Guava Burger. It called for a BBQ sauce made with guava jelly, tomato paste and more, plus bacon and pineapple rings. Pretty darn yummy, though I was not really a fan of the pineapple ring on the burger itself. The BBQ sauce as quite good tough and I may make it for other meats and meals sometime soon. All in all this was a good burger and got two thumbs up from the hubby and I!
You know what time it is? That's right, it's time for another burger review from from the Bob's Burgers Cookbook. This week the hubby and I cooked the itsy bitsy teeny weenie yellow polka-dot zucchini burger! This burger had sauteed zucchini with a yogurt mixed with dill and a yellow bell pepper. Pretty darn yummy. This one got two thumb up from both the hubby and I. It was supposed to be made in slider form, but hey when you make as many burgers as I do you tend to have burgers in the freezer all ready to go, so we had just regular burgers. Still yummy!
Another week, another Bob's Burger's Cookbook burger review! This week the hubby and I had the Jack O' Lentil burger. It consisted of chevre cheese (my husband's new favorite cheese on burgers), spinach, and a lentil mixture with onions, garlic, assorted peppers, honey, and spices that I also used as a healthy side dish. Pretty yummy burger, though the lentil mixture is a little messy as it falls out of the burger when eating. All in all, a good burger though. It earned two thumbs up from my husband and myself.
This week's burger from the Bob's Burgers Cookbook was the I've Created a Muenster Burger. It is made with mushrooms sauteed in butter, two slices of muenster cheese, and served with lettuce (I substituted spinach because, yum spinach) and a touch of ketchup. While the taste was pretty good, the mushrooms did not want to stay in the burger and that made it a bit messy. I could also do without the ketchup as well. That said, the husband and I rate this as two 3/4 thumbs up, it's still a pretty good burger.
It's time for another burger review from the Bob's Burgers Cookbook! This past week the hubby and I cooked the Hit Me with Your Best Shallot burger! Yum! That is all that I can say. This burger called for shallots, chevre cheese, thyme, and arugula. Great combination all around. Chevre cheese is one of my faves, and it pairs so well with the shallots and burger. This is definitely one of my favorite burgers so far. It got two thumbs up from both my husband and myself.
Somehow I have fallen a little behind on my burger blogging! Time to fix that! Last week I made the Every Breath You Tikka Masala Burger! In case you can't tell by the title, it is an Indian inspired burger. It called for a masala sauce, basmati rice, lots of Indian spices and some yummy potatoes for a side. While I loved all the flavors, I am really proud of the sauce I made and will be using the rice and rice as side dishes in the future, to me the burger was a little carb heavy. Still, everything tasted amazing so it got two thumbs up from both the hubby and I. I just don't think that I will be putting rice on my burger again.
So sorry, with work, health, and stress I have fallen a little behind on things lately, including blogging. That is why I am a little late getting my Bob's Burgers Cookbook burger review! Last week the husband and I made the Poutine on the Ritz Burger. It was made with brown gravy, cheese curds, and topped with Ritz crackers. First off I will have to say I'm not a huge fan of gravy, especially not on my burger. And for this dish I will say that it seemed to make everything kind of soggy. This was certainly not our favorite burger so far, sadly it is towards the bottom of the burgers we have cooked. Still, it was not too bad. My husband gave it a .75 thumbs up. I give it about a .60 thumbs up.
